NEW ERA HIP HOP- is it?
Mood:  energetic
Now Playing: cypress hill- eye of the pig
Topic: hip hop syndicated

"Rap is going back to the eighties"-Talib Kweli,,and a misdirected quote from J.Z where he talks about "rappers claiming fashion and old school but they say rap is dead" and not to mention Kanye West- are reasons enough to give me a perspective on how hip hop culture has drastically influenced every element of our society.

Leave alone the coporate world and its moguls who are infuriated by this phenomenon yet they prescribe to the same, subconciously. It is a wild turkey hunt when switching through radio stations in an effort to listen or even get a phrase of some hard core rapper-censored that is-wilding out through your speakers.

Maybe productions are gonig overboard in their quest for a more futuristic sound scheme for topping charts and bagging awards...I guess its all about the money.

My biggest fear is that someone will package a cloune assed mix,or blend of house techno 80's funk, throw in some rappers on set and call it hiphop.

No contest or offence since change is inevitable, but it would be deragatory and a slap on both cheeks for rap fanatics all accross the globe for not giving what is intended to be labeled as rap music and expecting an applause from the same fans.
